Architectural Project Process Work-Flow
Explore the stages, scope, and deliverables of our architectural projects — from initial concept through detailed design, documentation, and final execution.

What is Pre-Design ?

The Pre-Design phase is crucial for establishing the project's foundation. This phase involves understanding the client's needs, the site conditions, and the regulatory environment. It sets the stage for the entire project by identifying goals, constraints, and opportunities.

What involved:

  • Background Research about the Site and Location:

This includes studying the site's geography, climate, soil conditions, and nearby infrastructure. Understanding the history of the location and its cultural context is also vital.

  • Survey of Existing Conditions:

A detailed analysis of any existing structures, vegetation, and site topography is conducted. This may involve land surveying and assessing the condition of existing buildings or infrastructure.

  • Determining Zoning and Land Use Requirements:

This involves researching local zoning ordinances, building codes, and land use regulations that will impact the design. This might include restrictions on building height, setbacks, density, and allowable uses.

  • Confirming Project Feasibility, Alternatives, and Programming:

The architect assesses the project's viability, considering budget, schedule, and potential design challenges. The programming process involves identifying all the spaces required in the project, their functions, and their relationships to one another. Alternative design solutions are explored to find the most effective approach..
